In most communities in Arkansas, Friday nights in the fall mean one thing: football games. All games bring about their own amount of attention and expectation, but none more than homecoming. This past Friday, the Springdale Bulldogs hosted the Bentonville Tigers for their own homecoming game.

Throughout homecoming week there are many activities and "spirit days" to keep students entertained, but most of the time those activities are aimed at high school students. However, one middle school in the district decided they wanted to join in on the fun and have their own pep rally to support the Bulldogs. Over 750 students from Sonora Middle School welcomed Head Coach Shane Patrick, Senior Linebacker Jaime Argueta, Senior Wide Receiver Zach Burton, and Senior Safety Zack Vaughan on Friday afternoon. Each player took turns sharing with the middle school students and then Zach Burton led the Sonora Spartans in a few cheers.

In addition to hosting the Bulldogs for a pep rally, administrators and teachers volunteered their time on Friday night by chaperoning over 300 Sonora Middle School students as they attended the Bulldog football game. The Bulldog Football Program is very thankful for the support from all the administrators, teachers, and students at Sonora Middle School.
