Zak Clark is entering his second season as Head Coach for Springdale High. In January 2015, Springdale Public Schools hired Zak Clark
to become the 31st Head Coach in Bulldog history. In 2015, The Bulldogs returned to the playoffs for the first time in four seasons. This
is Coach Clark's second stint with SHS, where he served as Quarterback coach from 2008 to 2009.
Coach Clark joined the Red Dogs after spending five seasons as the offensive coordinator for Fayetteville High School. During his time as
offensive coordinator, Fayetteville played for four state championships and won two (2011, 2012).
Prior to Fayetteville Coach Clark had stops at his alma mater, the University of Central Arkansas, and served two years at Springdale
High. While at Springdale under Kevin Johnson, he coached four Division 1 signees, including two who were quarterbacks.
Clark graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2005. While at UCA he earned multiple all-conference honors in both baseball
and football. In 2002, he finished 5th in voting for the Harlon Hill award, giving to the nation's most outstanding player. Clark transferred to
UCA after spending two years at Arkansas, where he lettered twice in football and started 12 games at quarterback.
Clark grew up in Fayetteville and graduated from Fayetteville High in 1999. He lettered three times in football and four in baseball. While
at FHS, Clark earned 3 All-State honors in baseball and 2 All-State honors in football.
He and his wife Sarah have three children, Cooper (10), Tyler (7), and AnnaKaye (3).
